Restorative Therapy: What is it?

I like to say I'm in the RESTORATION business. I also like to say I'm not a healer- I just facilitate healing. YOU get to do it! True healing is EMPOWERING and feels EXPANSIVE.

Do you need Restoration? Yes, of course! We all do!

While it seems like childhood should be a time of pure joy and exploration, the reality is that all of us experienced some kind of adversity during our formative years. These experiences, big or small, can leave lasting marks on us if we didn't receive help navigating our emotions during that time- which what are the chances of anyone getting perfect help 100% of the time? (Not great!)

Research shows that 64% of adults in the U.S. have experienced at least one type of Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) before turning 18. We would expect childhood abuse to be an Adverse Childhood Experience but it's important to note that loss of a cargiver or loved, and even adverse health experiences were also included in the research. If you'd like to take the free ACE test to know your ACE rating, you can find a link and read more about this here. Nearly one in six report having four or more. These early experiences often skew how we see ourselves and the world, creating patterns that can follow us into adulthood.

Even though we can’t rewrite history, we can absolutely choose our relationship with it. We go through a restoration as we clear away all the outdated emotional stuff like limiting beliefs and emotional burdens which our loving bodies collected in an effort to protect us.

Story Time!

I had a friend who was told by her second grade teacher that she'd "wasn't good at math". Fast forward to adulthood: she struggled to manage her finances and felt hopeless about getting ahead financially. Spoiler alert: Her inner child self who had carried this belief had been warning her over and over not to make or keep too much money because it would mean having to attempt more complicated math- which she wasn't capabel of handling successfully. That limiting belief existed solely to keep her safe, but was that information true? NO! It was based on faulty information! And once she tuned into the emotional memory of this event, she realized several things:

1. the teacher didn't actually mean to call her incapable. She was just trying to reassure her about not being perfect and her child self stored the feeling of humiliation (It's extrememly common for us to remember emotions instead of facts.)

2. she was of course, perfectly capable of doing math and learning any financial skills she wanted

3. she was perfectly safe to succeed financially

Not only that, she had the opportunity to give compassion to that younger part of herself who had devotedly carried that fear all those years in an effort to keep her safe- in essence it is TRULY “never too late to have a good childhood.”

Carl Jung once said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

Restorative Therapy: A Three-Step Approach to Emotional Healing

Restorative therapy is a holistic approach that acknowledges the profound connection between our mind and body, aiming to heal emotional wounds by addressing their root causes. In my practice, I integrate various therapeutic modalities that all follow a natural emotional healing process: Awareness, Release, and Restoration. Each therapy I use engages all three steps, creating deep and lasting healing.

Awareness – Recognizing what needs attention
Compassion – Creating safety for what we find
Choice – Consciously shifting toward healing

Therapies That Restore:

The therapies I use all follow the same 3 steps to help you heal: awareness, compassion and choice. This combination ensures a full and balanced healing process.

EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques)

EFT Tapping is a simple and powerful way to calm stress, clear emotional blocks, and create clarity. It helps you focus on one issue at a time, so you can release negative emotions and feel more at peace in the present.

Root Cause Therapy (RCT)

Root Cause Therapy (RCT) is one of my favorite methods. It’s gentle but can be life-changing. This therapy helps us find the root cause of issues you want to change. By working with your subconscious, RCT clears away old emotional burdens and limiting beliefs. It helps you gain clarity, heal deeply, and feel stronger in your true identity and purpose. It’s an investment in long-lasting healing.

Emotion Code

Sometimes, emotions get “stuck” in our bodies, causing stress or even physical pain. The Emotion Code helps by using muscle testing to gently find and release these trapped emotions. When they’re released, you’ll feel lighter, freer, and more at peace.

Quantum Entrainment (Awareness Technique)

Quantum Entrainment teaches you how to quiet your mind and reconnect with your true self—your soul. When you focus on this timeless part of you, you can be more aware of your inner wisdom. This helps you move through life feeling more present, peaceful, and purposeful.

Muscle Testing

Muscle testing helps you listen to your body to find out where you may have stress or blocks. It strengthens your ability to manage your health, both emotionally and physically, by tuning into how your body is feeling.

Mindfulness and Visualization

Mindfulness, deep breathing, and imagination help you relax and get in touch with a deeper part of yourself. Learning to slow down, think deeply, and listen can help you discover truths that you might miss in today’s busy world. It helps you be more creative, calm, and focused.

By using therapies that embrace all three steps of healing, restorative therapy offers a comprehensive path to emotional freedom and self-alignment. Healing is not about fixing—it’s about clearing what no longer serves you so you can fully step into who you were always meant to be.

Is This the Right Path for You?

If you’ve been feeling stuck in patterns of emotional pain or limiting beliefs, Resorative Therpay can help you find freedom and restoration. This isn’t about erasing your history; it’s about honoring it, learning from it, and reclaiming your identity. You are not defined by what happened to you—you are so much more.

Let’s Begin Your Journey

Healing doesn’t have to be a lonely road. If you’re curious about how RCT, EFT, or any of the other tools I use can support you, I’d love to connect. Schedule a free 15-minute call, and we’ll explore what’s possible together.

Whether you’re seeking personal healing or feel called to help others, this work has the power to create meaningful change. Let’s restore what’s been lost and reconnect you to the person you were always meant to be.
