Emotion Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson. I was surprised to see the foreword by Tony Robbins (He also co-owns the Tapping Solution app!). I was equally touched by Dr. Nelson's story of how Emotion Code was developed through a heartfelt and prayerful desire to help each one of his clients heal. I can releate to this approach and this softened my heart to listen to what Dr. Nelson has to offer humanity!
What Is The Emotion Code and How Does It Work?
Have you ever felt like emotions is just stuck to you? Like they just hang around, affecting how you feel and act? Well, that’s what The Emotion Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson talks about. It explains that emotions aren’t just feelings—they’re actually energy that can get trapped in your body. When these emotions stay stuck, they can cause pain, sadness, or even make you feel stuck in life.
What Is Emotion Code?
Dr. Bradley Nelson created the Emotion Code method to help people find and release these trapped emotions. The idea is simple: emotions are energy that vibrates at different frequencies. When we process them fully, they move through us. But when they get stuck, they can cause problems.
Emotion Code promotes muscle testing as a way to listen to the body and become aware of trapped emotions. Then the person chooses to focus on and release these trapped emotions. This have been shown to open the way for healing of mental, emotional, and even physical issues.
Why Emotions Are Energy
Everything, including emotions, is made of energy. Imagine your emotions like radio waves. When emotions are fully processed, they move through you and leave no trace. But sometimes, when something bad happens, an emotion gets stuck, like static on a radio. This static can cause emotional and physical pain, just like a bad signal messes up your favorite song.
The Three-Step Process for Healing Emotions
In my work, I use a simple 3-step process to help release emotions, which fits well with The Emotion Code- It's just not as thorough as my other modalities:
Awareness: Paying attention to body responses
Compassion: Acting as a loving observer of whatever comes up
Choice: Choosing to let go of the emotion
Once you’ve released the stuck emotions, you can feel more at peace and aligned with your true self.
Healing Through Intuition and Science
One of the things I love about The Emotion Code is that it combines science and intuition. While we’re still learning more about how emotions affect the body, this method empowers you to trust your own feelings and intuition. The stories in the book, like someone’s chronic pain going away after releasing a trapped emotion, are real and powerful—even if science doesn’t yet fully understand why it works. When emotions are allowed to move freely, they don’t cause harm. But when they get stuck, they can make life harder.
